Minkie Spiro Biography

British director Minkie Spiro was born in 1970. She obtained a first class degree from Central St. Martin's College of Art and then took work as a photographer for four years. She gained a Masters degree in film direction from the Royal College of Art in London. She began in television as a director of documentaries such as the award-winning 'Lock Up Your Daughters', about teenage sex, before moving on to drama series.
