T.J. Shanks Biography

After successfully completing his degree in acting to learn skills both in front of and behind the camera, T.J. quickly starting booking jobs and collaborating on Productions. He complimented his work in research, story development and cinematography by continuing to work steadily in the local film and television scene throughout Canada.Producer and Director T.J. Shanks has been working with Loaded Gun Productions since its launch in 2000. He was instrumental in the brands success and was involved in all areas of production from conception to delivery, as well as international distribution and merchandising, for DIP 1 through 3 and Liquid Courage 1 and 2.In 2006, T.J. relocated to Los Angeles, California. There he continued to represent Loaded Gun Productions as they expanded into new markets and genres, while he built a name for himself as a talented and hardworking team player. T.J. quickly began shooting for a variety of other networks. His credits include writing, producing and directing for Comedy Central's Atom TV, and directing and producing various projects for Spike TV including a number of UFC special features, TUF - Aftermath, The Deadliest Warrior, Playmate Show & Tell, GameTrailers TV, several sponsored "Gift Guides", and various pieces on the Sundance, Tribeca, Miami and SXSW Film Festivals.T.J. has also produced and directed several commercials for Trojan Condoms, and red carpet segments with celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Jack Black, Chris Rock, Marissa Miller, Adrian Brody, Jonah Hill, LL Cool J, Amanda MacKay and Kid Rock. He has extensive experience in live production and has worked for several years at prominent events such as Comicon, the Tokyo Game Show, the X-Games and the NBA All Star Weekend.However, T.J'.s largest asset is his willingness and ability to do anything to get the job done. From the initial idea to delivered product, T.J.'s focus and attention to detail ensures every step of the process will run smoothly. He has been known to step in whenever needed, and no task is too big or too small. He is able to create content, execute a production schedule and budget, get whatever shots are needed, edit raw footage, and deliver polished, professional video on time. T.J. splits his time between Vancouver and Los Angeles and is the proud father of a 3 year old boy.
