Watch The Rite: Michael Kovak (Colin O'Donaghue), the son of a funeral director, grows indifferent to his father and joins a Seminary. On his way to the course completion, he is overwhelmed by a strong lack of faith. His religious beliefs are further jolted when he sees a young girl haplessly dying in a road accident for whom he reluctantly performs the ritual to absolve her sins. if he is on his way to his course completion in seminarian school, then he is NOT yet a preist. That means he could NOT have preformed the ritual to absolve the dying girl's sins! Please people, dont believe everything you see in the movies! Although this movie is accurate in some ways it is also INaccurate in a lot of ways! Pretty good movie all in all! 4 stars

@MeredithB11 Actually any christian or seminarian for that matter, can bless, baptise or absolve someone who is on the verge of dying...That is in the Catholic's catechism to find. So there was no problem with him absolving the dying girl. I found the movie very inspiring, scary sometimes, and it has a wonderful ending. 5 stars.
