Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)

Watched the dvd.

Not as good as the first of J.J. Abrams ST movies but very watchable. As a ST fan it does frustrate me when the script does not stick to the over-all accepted story-line. Comberbatch never quite pulls off the part of Khan and his portrayal is of someone mentally disturbed rather than evil. I just could not believe the Simon Pegg version of Scotty, the character seems to have changed since his first appearance in the hands of Pegg. However the SFX are good despite a slightly weak storyline, that would have been better suited to a episode rather than a two hour movie, that has believability issues. I can only give this one a 7/10.

As a grade school kid in the 60's...this is as good as it get's. I watched the original and this is so well done........ Yep! I want alot more and these guys did a fine job. I loved the way the mixed the old with the new and how they picked the new members of the crew. Kinda fun.....wow! I simply think this was thought out well. I suspect I've viewed this 5 times now...... hahahhah...........record.

although the movie was watchable, anyone who considers themselves an original star trek fan can not possibly accept this movie as part of the franchise. j.j. abrams should be ashamed of himself.

TO TREK FANS: U DID NOT notice it said KHAN instead of KAHN? ORIGINALLY ITS A REMAKE OF WRATH OF KAHN...why change the name to KHAN?? FROM KAHN..

SINCE WHEN DID THE ACTUAL STAR TREK "Wrath of KAHN" Changed to WRATH OF "KHAN"??? half the movie they show the name as KAHN NOT KHAN, but to make it obvious whIle Kirk and "KaHn" Space fly to the federation ship they show both names as they fly side by side on the big screen... KIRK on 1 side and I(NSTEAD OF ORIGINAL KAHN) its "KHAN".. and star trek fans say that they KNOW IT ALL....didnt anyone ESPECIALLY TREK FRANS NOTICE THIS? U r teling me as a trekkie fan u just DIDNT SEE that DIFFERENCE IN NAMES? KAHN AND KHAN?? disappointing that you call yourselves trek biggest FANS. UR JUST LAME HYPOCRITICAL FANS IN ACTUAL

I just couldn't get into the last 2 Star Trek movies. Kirk and Spock are so out of character from the original series and the original Star Trek movies. The producers should have just created a new series with new characters, but, they must have wanted to make an easy buck at the theaters.

Loved this movie :-) Will be adding it to my blueray collection for sure, as soon as it comes out. I rate it a 10 out of 10 :-)
